my name is Taylor
Hello! I'm Taylor, the owner of By Taylor Goulart ;) I got my first camera (a Canon T3i) from my parents for my 13th birthday, thinking my passion was making YouTube videos—mostly very cringey “comedy” skits. Let’s just say a photography business wasn’t exactly on my radar back then.
Fast forward past my YouTube wannabe phase, I discovered my love for digital photography and absolutely loved my high school photography class. My good friend and I would spend our free time taking photos of our friends, even creating an Instagram page back in 2018. (Don’t try to find it—I promise it’s nearly impossible, haha.)
In 2024 while working as a property manager—not exactly the most glorious job—I realized I wanted to do something I was passionate about. Something creative. And here we are!

What inspires me
I love meeting new people and documenting their lives. It's the heart of what I do. Traveling is a huge inspiration for me and it’s the perfect cycle: traveling gives me a reason to photograph, and photography gives me a reason to travel.
I 10000% appreciate everyone who has trusted me to capture their stories through my photography. It’s an honor to freeze those moments in time, and I’d love the opportunity to do the same for you!
MY FAVOURITE THINGS
When I’m not behind the camera, I love reading, traveling, and hanging out with friends and my boyfriend. Some days I’m all about a cozy night in, and other days I’m up for an adventure. Most of the time, though, you’ll find me on the couch watching a 2000s comedy with Jacob and our dog, Winnie, who always steals the best seat!
I’m always itching to hop on a plane! I’m currently based in San Diego but grew up in Hawaii and love going back to visit family. If you need a shoot somewhere outside my usual spots, count me in.
Behind the Lens
I’m a pretty laid-back person and always up for an adventure! During our session or your wedding day, I want you to feel comfortable and enjoy the moment without any pressure. All I need from you is to show up as yourself!
My photography style is cinematic and more on the candid side. My editing leans a little darker (I love rich colors and a moody vibe!) I'll guide you with fun prompts that make everything feel natural. No stress here—just good vibes and great moments.
