Wonder why these clips look so nostalgic and reminiscent of videos your parents or grandparents might have tucked away somewhere? There's a reason for that! Super 8 was introduced in the 1960s and is such a fun way to document parts of your wedding day in a romantic way.
Super 8 cameras use real film cartridges to record video, with each cartridge allowing about 3-4 minutes of recording time. Because of the limited recording time, each clip is captured more intentionally.

Why I love Super 8
The graininess and colors of Super 8 definitely have a very distinct look that separates itself from digital video, which is a huge reason why a lot of people love it. To me, the best part of Super 8 is that it feels reminiscent of an old home video. It feels romantic and real. And homey. I like that not every shot will turn out perfect, but even if a slightly out of focus shot makes it into the final video, it adds to the real-ness of the day and feels like a memory.
